Discover the art of traditional Indigenous beadwork with our Beaded Smudge Feather Class — a fun and creative way to learn the fundamentals of peyote stitch beading, a beadwork stitch native to the Americas.

This 3-hour beginner class will teach you the foundational techniques used in traditional peyote stitch beadwork, focusing on precision, pattern layout, and finishing touches.

All supplies are included — so you can simply show up ready to create.

In this class, you will learn:

  • The basics of the Native American peyote beadwork stitch

  • How to stitch tubular peyote beadwork

  • How to weave in your ends and finish your beadwork

By the end of this session, you’ll have completed a beaded smudge feather, gained confidence with beading tools and materials, and developed the skills needed to continue your next projects independently.

Included in this class:

Beads, Beading Needle, Thread, Feather, and Hide or Fleece.
Participants will also have the option to purchase additional beads in their choice of colors.
